When we view, read or listen to something new, we may have four responses:
Brainstorm students' responses.
Students explain, elaborate, clarify, discuss, refute, etc.
Game: "I went to the shop and I bought ... " Can be a simple memory game or vocab related to a particular topic.

- puzzlement: that's confusing! I don't understand that. That doesn't make sense.
- interest: I didn't know that. That's interesting.
- agreement: that's what I think too!
- disagreement: I don't think that's true at all!
